The session examined how mediation can provide an efficient and constructive alternative to lengthy and costly intellectual property litigation, particularly in cross-border cases. Participants gained insight into how mediation helps companies reach faster and more balanced outcomes while preserving valuable business relationships.

Plamena Georgieva, IP Lawyer and Mediator at the EUIPO Boards of Appeal, presented the services offered by the EUIPO Mediation Centre, outlined the circumstances in which mediation can be most beneficial, and showcased its advantages for businesses navigating complex IP disputes.
