Event Details

The working lunch on the Future of the Single Market for Services in the EU will provide an opportunity to discuss the findings and recommendations from our recent report, which reveals that services have lagged far behind goods within an interpretation of a single market. Despite the substantial progress accomplished in other fields, there has been a lower level of integration achieved for services trade, resulting in slower economic growth and fewer employment opportunities making the EU less competitive. Overall, the discussion will focus on concrete measures to streamline regulatory facilitation; licensing conditions, and enforcement mechanisms so that services under Single Market for Services may reach their full potential. Therefore, we will hold a working lunch, jointly organized by the Union of Entrepreneurs and Employers, and the European Enterprise Alliance.
