Foreign Affairs Council

EU Foreign Affairs Ministers will discuss the Russian aggression against Ukraine following an informal exchange with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha. Ministers will also review the situation in the Middle East in light of the latest developments.

Transport, Telecommunications and Energy Council (Energy)

EU Energy Ministers are expected to reach a general approach on the proposal to gradually phase out remaining gas and oil imports from Russia, with a full ban by 1 January 2028. Ministers will further discuss the role of electrification in Europe’s competitive and clean transition, ahead of the European Commission’s 2026 Electrification Strategy.
